Podcast Recording
Deliver your message with absolute clarity. We provide a professional, noise-free environment in the heart of Nagoya, ensuring your listeners focus entirely on your voice and your story.
In the modern digital landscape, audio quality is a direct reflection of your program's credibility. At Frottoncoreio, we offer a dedicated recording environment where ambient noise is eliminated, supported by experienced engineers who ensure the space is optimized for the speaker's comfort. We don't just provide equipment; we provide acoustic optimization that significantly reduces the time required for post-production editing.
Our studio is designed to accommodate everything from solo narrations to multi-guest panel discussions. We specialize in multi-track recording, which allows us to capture the natural flow of a conversation while keeping each voice isolated on its own channel. This technical approach makes individual volume adjustments and noise removal during the mixing stage far more effective, resulting in a polished and professional listening experience for your audience.
Our 4-Step Recording Process
Consultation & Booking
Contact us via our form with the number of participants and your desired recording duration. Sharing your program structure and desired sonic character helps us optimize the microphone placement in advance. Once the booking is confirmed, a 30% deposit is required to secure your slot.
Studio Setup
Before the recording begins, our engineer selects microphones based on each speaker's vocal characteristics and adjusts the distance and angle. We set up pop filters and fine-tune headphone monitor levels to ensure every participant feels relaxed and confident.
Live Session
Our engineer monitors levels from the control room in real-time to prevent clipping or unexpected noise interference. By making subtle adjustments as the conversation evolves, we avoid the need for drastic corrections during the editing phase.
Export & Delivery
After the session, the engineer performs a basic level check and exports the audio in your specified format. We provide multi-track files, giving you the flexibility to perform detailed external editing or professional mixing later.
Who Is This Service For?
Our podcast recording service is tailored for creators who refuse to compromise on audio quality. This includes independent podcasters struggling with environmental noise—such as air conditioning or street traffic—that cannot be removed in home settings. It is also ideal for corporate communications officers producing internal interviews or official company podcasts where a calm, authoritative sound is essential for brand image.
Additionally, professional voice actors and narrators use our facilities to record high-quality demo tapes or educational audio materials. For panel-style shows, using a single shared microphone often leads to inconsistent volume levels that sound unnatural even after editing. Our multi-mic system ensures each voice is captured independently, allowing for a balanced mix that respects the unique tone of every speaker.
The Recording Workflow and Engineering Support
Throughout your session, either our Chief Engineer or a Recording Engineer provides constant monitoring. The primary role of the engineer is to prevent technical failures before they happen. This includes managing "clipping" when a speaker becomes enthusiastic and loud, or detecting noise caused by clothing rubbing against the microphone stand.
For those unfamiliar with studio environments, our staff provides guidance on the ideal distance from the microphone to capture the most flattering frequency range. By optimizing the capture at the source, we minimize the need for aggressive EQ processing, preserving the natural warmth and clarity of the human voice.
Client Preparation Checklist
To ensure a smooth session, we ask clients to prepare the following. First, please provide a rough outline or a script of the recording. Even a simple list of talking points helps the engineer manage the timing and identify natural break points. If you are using tablets or laptops for reference, please ensure they are set to silent mode to avoid electronic interference.
Regarding attire, we recommend avoiding materials that create friction noise, such as heavy nylon or rustling synthetic fabrics. While drinks are permitted in the studio to keep the throat hydrated, we ask that you coordinate breaks for hydration to avoid splashes or mouth noises near the microphones.
Deliverables and File Formats
Upon completion, we provide your audio data in high-resolution formats. Our standard delivery is WAV (44.1kHz/24-bit or higher), though we can provide MP3 conversions upon request. The delivery package includes both a mixed-down file where all speakers are combined and independent stem files for each participant.
This dual-delivery approach allows you to adjust specific voices later or precisely time the insertion of background music and sound effects. Files are delivered via secure cloud storage immediately following the session or within the next business day.
Timelines and Turnaround
Podcast sessions are booked in one-hour increments. We strongly suggest scheduling an extra 15-30 minutes for setup and sound-checking. Basic exports and primary quality checks are performed immediately after the session, with final delivery typically occurring the same day or by the following business day.
If you require basic editing—such as removing long silences or obvious mistakes—this is treated as a separate service. In such cases, a custom quote will be provided, and the delivery date will be adjusted based on the volume of the material.
What Is Not Included
This specific plan is focused exclusively on "Recording." Consequently, the following services are not included in the base hourly rate: detailed audio editing (surgical noise removal or complex pacing cuts), selection and insertion of background music or SFX, and the actual uploading or configuration of distribution platforms like Spotify or Apple Podcasts. We also do not provide scriptwriting or content planning. If you require these services, please inquire about our Mixing & Mastering plans.
Pricing and VAT Calculation
Our pricing is calculated based on the total studio occupancy time. All listed prices include the Japanese consumption tax (10%). For example, the Multi-mic Recording plan is priced at 55 EUR per hour (50 EUR excluding VAT). This hourly rate applies linearly to all session lengths.
For B2B clients, we offer invoicing with a payment term of 14 days from the date of issue. To confirm a booking, a 30% deposit of the total estimated cost is required, with the remaining balance payable on the day of the session or via the final invoice.
