Our operational guidelines are designed to provide transparency and efficiency from the moment of booking to the final delivery of your masters. For detailed legal conditions, please refer to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
If you have a specific inquiry or need to check current availability that is not covered below, please reach out via our Contact Page. We typically respond to all inquiries within 24 hours.
Booking and Cancellations
Is a deposit required to confirm my booking?
Yes. To formally secure your session in our calendar, we require a deposit of 30% of the total estimated cost. This amount is fully credited toward your final balance on the day of the session. The studio schedule is only guaranteed once the deposit payment has been confirmed.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
You may cancel or reschedule your session free of charge up to 3 days before the scheduled start date. Cancellations made less than 3 days prior to the session may result in the forfeiture of the deposit. Please notify us as early as possible via email or phone if you need to change your appointment.
Can minors use the studio?
For safety reasons and the protection of high-end equipment, clients under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or a legal adult guardian. Clients aged 16 and over are permitted to use the studio independently. In some cases, we may request a signed consent form from a guardian for minors.
How long does it take to receive a response to a booking inquiry?
When contacting us through our online form or email, we aim to provide a detailed response within 24 hours. This applies regardless of our weekend closures, though response times may vary slightly during peak seasonal demand.
Session Logistics
What is the maximum capacity of the studio?
To maintain an optimal acoustic balance and a comfortable working environment, the studio has a maximum capacity of 6 people. This limit includes both the artists and the engineering staff. If you are planning a session with a larger group, please consult us in advance to discuss possible arrangements.
What equipment is available at the studio?
Our facility spans 85m² and consists of 3 dedicated rooms: a live room, a vocal booth, and a control room. Our key technical assets include professional large-diaphragm condenser microphones for detailed capture and high-accuracy nearfield monitors for precise mixing. If you wish to bring your own specific gear, please let us know beforehand.
What should I prepare before my recording day?
We recommend preparing lyric sheets, structural arrangements, and reference tracks that illustrate the sonic direction you aim to achieve. If you are bringing instruments, please ensure they are tuned and ready to go to maximize your session time. For a detailed checklist, please see our Recording Preparation Guide.
Who will be the engineer for my session?
Your session will be handled by either our Chief Engineer, Takeshi Yamada, or our Recording Engineer, Satoshi Yamamoto. We assign the engineer best suited to your musical genre and technical requirements at the time of booking. If you have a preference for a specific engineer, please mention it during the booking process.
Files and Delivery
In what formats are the final files delivered?
We deliver high-resolution WAV files as the standard. MP3 exports can be provided upon request. Sample rates and bit depths are adjusted according to your project specifications. For more technical details, please refer to our File Formats and Delivery guide.
Do you provide multi-tracks or stems?
Yes. We can provide individual raw tracks (multi-tracks) or grouped stems. This is highly recommended if you plan to perform a final mix at another facility or need specific stems for live performance backing tracks.
How long do you archive recording data?
Frottoncoreio maintains a project archive for 12 months following the completion of your session. We can assist with data recovery or re-delivery within this period. After 12 months, data is permanently deleted due to storage limitations. We strongly advise all clients to maintain their own external backups.
Are there limits on mixing and mastering revisions?
For our mixing and mastering services, we include up to 3 rounds of revisions free of charge. Requests for a 4th revision or significant structural changes (such as reflecting new recordings) will incur additional fees.
Rights and Legal Matters
Who owns the rights to the recorded audio?
Ownership of the recorded audio (the master) transfers to the client once 100% of the studio fees have been paid. The studio does not claim any ownership or royalties. However, clients are solely responsible for ensuring that the recorded material does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of third parties.
Does podcast recording include editing?
Standard recording plans include level adjustment by the engineer and file export. Detailed editing, such as removing dead air or inserting background music, is available as a separate post-production option. Please see the Master Rights and Options page for more information.
How is my personal data and audio handled?
Your personal information and recording data are handled with strict confidentiality and are never used for purposes other than your project. Data processing and retention periods are governed by our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement.
Is photography allowed inside the studio?
Yes, photography is permitted provided it does not disrupt other active sessions. We appreciate it if you tag or mention Frottoncoreio when posting on social media. We ask that you exercise extreme caution around the equipment.
Payments and Billing
Do you support B2B contracts and invoicing?
Yes, we provide B2B services for corporate clients and production agencies. For business accounts, we offer a payment term of 14 days from the date of the invoice. Please provide your registered company name and billing details during the booking process.
